Blog Post By: Jon Conklin, General Manager & PGA Professional
It seems bizarre to be writing this blog due to the nature of the following contents...
We are now almost halfway through the month of August; summer as we know it is in the rear-view mirror. However, there will still be some fantastic weather through September, and hopefully into November, for you to still get in a couple rounds.
The Advantages of Twilight Golf
Some golfers enjoy playing first thing in the morning, others mid-day, and others in the evening. I am personally more of an evening player myself. There is no dew on the grass, like in the morning, which can get the feet wet. Plus, evenings are typically cooler than mid-day.
Did you know evening/Twilight golf is also cheaper at most facilities than during the other times of the day? This can work out well for many of us who have to watch our disposable income. At Bucks Run, our first Twilight rate starts at 3:00PM, with the price dropping $23-$33 off our normal price for 18 holes (depending on the day of the week). From there, we also offer another “super” Twilight rate at 4:30 for $45 for 18 holes, or $25 for 9 holes.
The 4:30 rate and availability can be tough from April through August due to our leagues that play every Monday-Wednesday evening. But just like the summer, those nights are soon to be a thing of the past. We do not host leagues in the fall months and the leagues will conclude before Labor Day!
Have you heard of Nine & Dine?
With leagues coming to an end, this also opens up more tee time options for our Nine & Dine special, which is offered every day after 4:30PM. For a mere $75, two people can enjoy 9 holes of golf with cart and a voucher for $40 worth of food at The Quarry Grill. When you think of it, this is one heck of a deal and one that most people do not know about!
No matter what time of day that you enjoy playing, we appreciate you taking the time to play Bucks Run. We strive to give you the best course conditions and service no matter what time of day you swing the clubs. We hope to see you out here during the remainder of this season!
