We officially made it through the holiday season and somehow, January is already over. That means we are one month closer to opening the course, which means every department at Bucks Run is working diligently in preparation for the 2019 season. In terms of the Golf Department, part of our preparations include attending golf shows to promote our facility and the numerous offerings provided to our guests. While golf shows are not as popular as they were 10-15 years ago (back before the internet), they are still a valuable resource for both golf courses and golfers.
This year, we will be visiting two golf shows. A few weeks ago, we attended the West Michigan Golf Show, in Grand Rapids, over February 8-10th. We will again be hitting the road to the Michigan Golf Show, in Novi, from March 8-10th. During the shows,we will be promoting our popular Play and Stay Golf Packages, which offer 10 area courses and 6 area lodging options. We will be happily accepting potential player's trip information, and free golf package proposals will be sent by the Tuesday following the show. Additionally, we will be promoting our Quarry Grill Restaurant, our early bird specials, and our weekday golf specials for seniors, ladies, and our active military/veterans.
Are you on the fence about attending a golf show this year? Well, these shows offer a wide-variety of benefits for every golfer’s needs. In terms of courses attending the shows, there are some from each classification of golf courses -- ranging from public to resort to private. At the shows, you will also find both small and large merchandise vendors, time share offerings, and a variety of local businesses, ranging from lawn care companies to jerky sales to publications. Yes, you can do all your golf planning online and search quickly, but this is a fun way to get out of the house, especially after the deep freeze we recently found ourselves in.
If you decide to stop by the West Michigan Golf Show or Michigan Golf Show this year, stop by the Bucks Run Booth and say hi!
